Security Due Diligence of a government facility. Tripoli, Libya
Client: A Department of the UK Government
Source8 was commissioned by a department of the UK Government to urgently carry out in-country visual structural due diligence, a damage assessment and classified security work relating to the British Embassy Chancery and Ambassador’s residence in Tripoli, Libya during the conflict
The environment was still an asymmetric war zone and extremely fragile. The site was not secured and therefore also needed to be cleared by an Explosive and Ordnance Disposal team in parallel with our team. In addition, the damage to the structure of the building meant it was unstable in several areas.
Rapid deployment of a highly skilled team with the appropriate clearances to undertake the work.
Information was gathered so that the Security and Estates Directorate could understand the extent of the damage to the building.
The Source8 team were able to work under pressure in difficult conditions to ensure that FCO interests were met in a secure and efficient manner. The team’s cross functional expertise also meant that they could address all mission critical requirements in one deployment whilst having the skills and training to operate safely in the unstable environment.
