Our client retained Source8 to provide acquisition management services in the search and purchase of a suitable 100 acre site on Tobago upon which to construct a Liquefied Natural Gas /Compressed Natural Gas plant.
Some of the complexities in helping to deliver this requirement for our client included:
The preferred property option required negotiating with 46 different land owners to secure options on the sites in order to undertake necessary technical / geotechnical / environmental surveys etc.
Political and local sensitivities to the proposed project required diligent diplomatic awareness and strategic planning with all stakeholders.
Source8 designed, developed and managed a programme of works in order to complete the transaction in accordance with our client’s facility requirements, managing the different internal and external stakeholders, including vendor representatives, survey teams, local legal counsel, and government officials.
Source8 developed a Programme Management Strategy to deliver this requirement as quickly and securely as possible. The Strategy included the development and management of:

Risk Management Plan
Communications and Reporting Plans
This process allowed for management of the multiple processes and procedures required in the acquisition of the properties, providing coordination of key stakeholders and overall project risk management.
